Disclaimer
What this site is
A public-sector capital business-case workbench. Built for trust estates directors, LA capital programme managers, school business managers, and governors writing or scrutinising a CIF, SRP or basic-need case.
What this site is not
- Not a substitute for tender-stage QS cost advice.
- Not a substitute for a chartered structural, M&E or condition survey.
- Not affiliated with the Department for Education, ESFA, LocatED or any CF25 framework contractor.
- Not regulated financial or procurement advice.
Liability
Figures and guidance on this site are provided in good faith and on a best-endeavours basis, drawn from the sources cited on each page. They should be used as a planning anchor and a cross-check against your own QS output, not as a sole basis for committing public money. We accept no liability for decisions taken in reliance on figures presented here.
When to instruct a chartered QS
For any scheme proceeding to tender, instruct a chartered QS (RICS-regulated) to produce a project-specific cost plan. For CIF / SRP business cases above the per-project ceiling, a chartered QS sign-off is expected by ESFA. For SEN schemes with unusual specifications, instruct early.
Corrections
